CUSTOMER SERVICE ACADEMY 2016

The…

Customer Service Academy!

This Crime Prevention through youth employment program was created in 1997 a few short years after the Los Angeles riots of 1992.

The CSA attacks the issue of Disconnected Youth HEAD-ON. In a powerful and effective way. What are disconnected youth? According to Measure of America…

“There’s a problem with our conception of progress in America today. It’s based on money measures and not much else. Measure of America creates metrics to tell us about how people are doing. One fundamental indicator of societal progress and well-being is how young people are faring in their transition to adulthood. And on this measure, 5.5 million young people are falling behind.

Disconnected youth are teenagers and young adults between the ages of 16 and 24 who are neither working nor in school. There are 5,527,000 disconnected youth in America today, or one in seven teens and young adults (13.8 percent).”

Will you help us bring the Customer Service Academy back to the cities of America?

How can you help?

  1. Share this information with the Mayor of one of our target cities and help us identify a city for our Relaunch Pilot.
  2. Be a CSA Host Church and sponsor the program in your community. We partner with churches that have (or have access to) large youth and young adult populations (with ministries). This provides a place for students to plug in and belong after they complete the CSA program.
  3. Share this information with companies that hire students ages 16 to 24 such as some of our past employers like Home Depot, Albertson’s, FedEx Kinko’s, Warehouse Music, Hot Dog on a Stick, KFC, Ross Dress for Less, El Pollo Loco, Costco, Burger King and others. Our minimum goal is 20 employers per city program.
  4. Help finance our comeback with a donation to our WEBSITE.
