Everything lives by the river.

Jeremiah 17:8 says, For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreads out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat comes, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit. KJV

I believe this passage best describes the woman of Proverbs 31:10.

The inspiration for this study began with the marriage of Proverbs 31:10 and Jeremiah 17:8. The woman described in this passage is a living example of what a tree by the river looks like. I call her, Chayil. I believe Proverbs 31:10-31 exemplified river life. It is a picture of abundant – progressive – fruitfulness in all areas of life. Life by the river is walking with God in confident authority and assuming that success is inevitable.

The tree planted by the river is described as having “her roots” and “her leaf.” Chayil’s “root” connection with heaven was authentic. She was comfortable with her access to the throne room. God in his grace honored her with growing “leaves.” He fostered the female tendency to plant, nurture and nest as we create a place where everything we touch can come alive. This is life by the river!

She Lives by the River, is a tool for discovering how others have used their connection with God through encounter as a catalyst for being transformed by revelation that comes thru relationship. They don’t stop at receiving revelation. They use that revelation to take bold action and generate powerful results in the earth.

They experienced an encounter that switched on a process of transformation. And they took the lessons of that encounter and turned it into revelation that initiated actions. Those actions activated massive results which created amazing outcomes.

Results inspire influence for the kingdom of God and gives the world a reason to wonder about our God.
