Step Out

James Gall OrdinarySooner or later you get tired of the status quo, you weary of a life where you just drift along, You get hungry for more and you yearn to see just how far you can go.

I know, I been there.  It is so true. Back in September 2014. I was invited to go to a conference in Tomball, TX. I didn’t have the money for gas, I barely had the registration fee of $50. I wasn’t sure about my car, but I knew I had to have a change in the trajectory of my life!

So I made the decision to go. I said Lord if I have to sleep in my car, I am going. I went and God Provided a church Bed & Breakfast for me to stay. And unexpected money came in 48 hours before I left to pay for the gas. A friend paid for ALL my meals! Where GOD leads he provides! But you have to be willing to put your foot in the water. Moses stood on the sidelines telling the children of Israel to “stand still and see the salvation of God.” But God busted him and said, Moses you have the Egyptians behind you–“tell the people to go FORWARD!” As they put their foot in the water the sea parted!

At that conference I was invited to apply for an internship with XP Ministries with Patricia King. I was accepted and I leave the end of January. God is so faithful! But we do have to get out of our comfort zones! The quote above by James Goll says it all!

You have to step out! You have to launch out into the deep. You have to leave the rock of the familiar and risk crashing against the stones of change. But one thing about being in the air, fear becomes fuel that forces you to flap your wings. Have courage. Take action! Do what you have been afraid to do and you will be surprised by how strong those wings are when you jump off that rock!
