God is always talking to his people. If you will listen, if you will pay attention to the signs he drops throughout the earth, you will have an avid conversation with God. And you will receive divine instructions about what you need to pay attention to and what actions you need to take in light of what you see.
In the last few weeks we have had numerous volcanoes, and earthquakes across the lands of this planet. In one day there were 49 active volcanoes taking place at the same time within the same two week period. In addition there was one series of hundreds of earthquakes leading to volcanic eruptions in Iceland that had not erupted for more than 800 years.
So imagine the surprise of an explorer in the caves of Israel digging out the treasures before the thieves could come. They found a small clay pot with fragments of scriptures written on them that have been hidden for over 1000 years. What did the scripture say? Here is one of them.
Nahum 1:5-6
The mountains quake before Him,
The hills melt, And the earth heaves at His presence, Yes, the world and all who dwell in it.
6 Who can stand before His indignation?
And who can endure the fierceness of His anger? His fury is poured out like fire,
And the rocks are thrown down by Him.
Zachariah 8:16-17
These are the things you shall do:
Speak each man the truth to his neighbor; Give judgment in your gates for truth, justice, and peace;
17 Let none of you think evil in yourfn heart against your neighbor;
And do not love a false oath.
For all these are things that I hate,’
Says the LORD.”
What a message. In Matthew 24 Jesus said that there would be earthquakes in various places throughout the earth. And then he sends a prophetic word from the past and a simple scripture written on a piece of decaying paper stash in a clay pot over 1000 years ago with the scripture that tells us how God speaks to us through an earthquake in a volcano. And then the second scripture they fine is how we should treat each other in light of the times that we are in. These are the last of the last days. God speaking speaking to all of us. It would be wise of us to listen and take heed to his words.
