I really enjoyed this post by Charity Bradshaw. It spoke to me as I have a renewed effort to focus on my health. No, I am not sick, and I want to keep it that way. This will inspire you! Enjoy!

Let the Challenge Bring the Change

by Charity Bradshaw

There is usually a sobering PAUSE before I begin a change I know will be hard. No one likes bumping up against their limitations, but at the same time, stagnation is worse.

In that pause-moment, two words flash through my mind – PAIN and GAIN. To accept one is to accept the other. To reject one is to reject the other.

You’ve heard the saying, “If it doesn’t challenge you, it won’t change you.” That’s the truth! The challenge happens OUTSIDE of our comfort and current ability. It takes us to the next level of internal and external strength.

Don’t wish away challenges! Reframe them as the equipment needed to help you progress.

PS – Quit calling everything an attack. That is victim mentality.

Challenges allow us to see our true colors, our true station. Maybe that’s the part we are actually afraid of?

There have been times where I thought I was further along than I actually was. Humbling moments.

There were other times where I found out I was stronger than I thought. Proud moments.

Both are necessary because both carry truthful feedback helping me experience desired change.

Look for what the challenge is building in you and let it bring the CHANGE!

More Thoughts on Being Challenged

“When we least expect it, life sets us a challenge to test our courage and willingness to change; at such a moment, there is no point in pretending that nothing has happened or in saying that we are not yet ready. The challenge will not wait. Life does not look back. A week is more than enough time for us to decide whether or not to accept our destiny.”
