Fire Falls on Sacrifice

If Fire falls on sacrifice…

HOW CAN I BE A SACRIFICE THAT GOD FALLS ON?

(1 Kings 18:36-40 (AMP)

At the time of the offering of the evening sacrifice, Elijah the prophet came near and said, O Lord, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, let it be known this day that You are God in Israel and that I am Your servant and that I have done all these things at Your word. 37 Hear me, O Lord, hear me, that this people may know that You, the Lord, are God, and have turned their hearts back [to You]. 38 Then the fire of the Lord fell and consumed the burnt sacrifice and the wood and the stones and the dust, and also licked up the water that was in the trench.

39 WHEN THE PEOPLE SAW IT, they fell on their faces and they said, The Lord, He is God! The Lord, He is God!)

Then, what is the sacrifice in my life that God can fall on and manifests HIMSELF so that the people in the world will know that HE is GOD because of the SACRIFICE of ME…

Romans 12:1 … that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice KJV

God ignites the fire … but the PRIEST KEEP IT BURNING… How do I keep the fire of my life burning with the presence of GOD. Maybe I am to God like in scents to a house. He is the match that ignites me. As I burn—the fragrance of him diffuses all around me…

2 Corinthians 2:14-15 (NKJV)
14 Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place. 15 For we are to God the fragrance of Christ AMONG THOSE who are being saved and AMONG THOSE who are perishing.

BUT HOW DO I, A SACRIFICE, KEEP MYSELF BURNING?

THREE WAYS!

1. I KEEP MYSELF BURNING BY PRAISING GOD.

Praise is God’s temple. God lives in my praise. When I praise, HE shows up and ignites me. Burns out the crap, keeps the good stuff.

Praise is a sacrifice when it cost me. Especially when My soul (mind–what I’m thinking; emotions—what I’m feeling; and my will—what I’m doing) DO NOT WANT TO WORSHIP OR PRAISE GOD.

For example, bank account says, “EMPTY.” God says, “You have more than enough.” It becomes a sacrifice when I begin to agree with God and rejoice and choose to be exceedingly glad! I sing a song about abundance. I dance and praise God (usually while nobody is looking) I sacrifice my soul (MIND / WILL / EMOTIONS) and make it conform it to what God says. That make me a living sacrifice.

Psalms 22:3 But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel. KJV Hebrews 13:15 (NKJV) 15 Therefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name. (I give thanks, no matter what I feel like)

I CHOOSE to continually manifest the elements of the kingdom of God–RIGHTEOUSNESS / PEACE / JOY —- IN THE HOLY GHOST!

Romans 14:17-18 For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace , and joy in the Holy Ghost. 18 For he that in these things serveth Christ is acceptable to God, and approved of men. KJV

2. I KEEP MYSELF BURNING BY DOING GOOD.

We become a sacrifice when we do good to and for others. In 2 Corinthians 2:15 it says AMONG THOSE WHO ARE BEING SAVED AND AMONG THOSE WHO ARE PERISHING. Perhaps, I am most a sacrifice to God when I go among the people and let them experience HIM through ME.

Hebrews 13:16 But do not forget to do good…

I TAKE MY EYES OFF MY OWN SELF—AND DIRECT MY ATTENTION TOWARDS MEETING SOMEONE ELSE’S NEEDS.

3. I KEEP MYSELF BURNING BY SHARING WITH OTHERS.

Whether its a word of encouragement or food from my table, I have plenty in comparison to others. I have plenty because I am connected to the ultimate source. What ever I have he allows me an unlimited source for getting more so I can free give away what has been freely given to me.No matter how little I have, I usually have more than somebody

else. So if I make it my mission to keep looking for someone who needs what I have, even if it seems like a little—GOD BLOWS ON MY LITTLE AND ENLARGES IT. (remember the loaves and fish)

Hebrews 13:16 But do not forget to do good and TO SHARE, for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.

So fire falls on sacrifice… The fire of God falls on me WHEN I WORSHIP HIM, WHEN I DO GOOD and WHEN I SHARE.

That is a simple GOSPEL I can live by.
