River of Love

River of Love

River of LoveI first sang River of Love at the WOFL Conference in Phoenix in July 2018. Patricia King in the wonderful loving way that she does, invited me to sing this year. I was truly honored. Video below.

River of Love by Stella Payton, Jackie Gouche’ & Gena Ponticelli

And I brought my buddies. Anytime I hook up with my besties Jackie Gouche, Gena Ponticelli, and Lisa Blue, great things happen. Last summer while hanging out in LA, we were playing around the piano with some lyrics and the Holy Spirit showed up and this song was the fruit.

When you see me turn, that is Jackie I am singing with on the piano. WOFL in Phoenix was the best fun we have had together in a long time. Worship, ministry, and praising God is straight up fun. If it’s not fun, you are not doing something right.

River of Love

Jackie is a prophetic singer and musician. She is a musical breaker. Angels come when she plays, portals open and God moves in mighty amazing ways. When you combine a musician and singer who both carry the breaker anointing, there is an amplification that comes upon the sound they release. The end result is stuff heaven needs to get done — happens effortlessly.

People are healed and nobody has to touch them. The prophetic just HAPPENS. Some people draw the prophetic out of you and vice versa. It’s like that whenever Jackie is at the piano and I have the mike, the prophetic sound comes. Holes explode and open up in the heavens. We were releasing the sound 30 years ago when nobody knew what it was or was talking about it. We were just a pair of roommates with 4 kids between us loving God and honoring him with the gifts he gave us.

I don’t know how God chooses people and marks them for this anointing. I just know that I have carried it all my life. I always hear the sounds and the music of heaven. Twice in my lifetime, I have seen it wipe out an entire congregation. I had no idea what it was or how to use it strategically. I am happy that the rest of the world is catching up to what we saw 3 decades ago. I say that with all humility because I can count the times I have been on the stage singing in the last 10 years on one hand. Because for a time I had lost my voice and my song. Obviously, God has more for me to do in music.

I can hardly wait to see what God does next.

I encourage some of you ministries to bring in people who don’t look like you—Because YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT YOU ARE MISSING!

Blessings,

Stella
