Say Something Good

Say Something Good
Be careful how you make people feel. Say something good!  Words of judgment and condemnation pull people down rather than build them up. For example, most sinners believe they’re going to hell if they don’t change. In fact, Many of them are already living in hell anyway. What they don’t know is what to do about it. Tell them what they don’t know.

Say Something Good

Tell them how much Jesus loves them. Tell them how much LOVE wants to penetrate their hearts and transform them from the inside out! Paint a picture of what their life can look like through the eyes of God. Better still show them!

Give them a taste of God’s goodness.

8 O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him. Psalms 34:8

Let them sample the flavor of healing. Wet their appetites for peace of mind. Give them a trial run of divine provision.  Give them a dose of angelic protection. Show them don’t just tell them what God is like. Give them a reason to believe in God.

Prophesy some of the good things God wants to do in their life. Show them how to connect with the image God had of them when he created them in his imagination long before they arrived on this earth. A real prophet can see as God sees.

Say something good about the Father’s pleasure in them. Prophesy about the good pleasure of the fathers will taking place in their life.

Wherefore also we pray always for you, that our God would … fulfill all the good pleasure of his goodness, and the work of faith with power:

12 That the name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in you, and ye in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ 2 Thessalonians 1:11-12

That kind of prophecy gives God something to work with. Prophesy a complement that rebuilds a broken spirit and heals damaged self esteem. Prophesy a word of light that empowers one lost in darkness to see where God longs to take them.

Take the time to make people feel good about themselves. Say something good about who they are in Christ. Why because God is good! It is the goodness of God that leads people to repentance. It is the goodness of God, that causes people to change their minds.

Now if you feel inclined to set yourself up as a judge of those who sin, let me assure you, whoever you are, that you are in no position to do so. For at whatever point you condemn others you automatically condemn yourself, since you, the judge, commit the same sins. God’s judgment, we know, is utterly impartial in its action against such evil-doers.

What makes you think that you who so readily judge the sins of others, can consider yourself beyond the judgment of God? Are you, perhaps, misinterpreting God’s generosity and patient mercy towards you as weakness on his part? Don’t you realise that God’s kindness is meant to lead you to repentance?

Phillips Translation Romans 2:4

It is his goodness that causes us to change what and how we see. Goodness alters our perception of reality. Goodness changes our experiences. So next time you feel the urge to prophesy, remember to encourage, exhort, build up. Because it requires no imagination to visualize destruction.

1 Corinthians 14:3 But he that prophesieth speaketh unto men to edification , and exhortation, and comfort. KJV

Those created in the image of God are like God.  They see that which  does not exist and then creates it just like the Father does. They do what God is doing. And they say what God is saying! So say something good.
