The devil is a liar. That is a fact and it is the truth. John 8:44-45 says it best stating that not only is satan a liar, there is no truth in him and he is the father of lies. Liars can be so convincing. That is unless you have a barometer for discerning the truth.
44 You are the children of your father, the Devil, and you want to follow your father’s desires. From the very beginning he was a murderer and has never been on the side of truth, because there is no truth in him. When he tells a lie, he is only doing what is natural to him, because he is a liar and the father of all lies. Good News Translation (GNT)
When the enemy cannot convince you, his only remaining strategy is to deceive you. Deception requires our participation. You must partner with a deceiver to be pulled into their lies. this happens often when we are not even aware of it.
The enemy may play on feelings of low self esteem or catch us when we are feeling depleted in our confidence. That is when the barrage of lies and deception come the most. You are not good enough, you are weak, you cant do this because you are too old. They are all lies that require our participation. We have to agree with the lie in order for it to take root in our thoughts.
When you choose to believe God and his Word over every circumstance, Satan has no remaining power over you. It is only time that must become your tool. You must Outlast and out stand the enemy! Do not believe the enemies lies. when you believe his lies, you give power to the liar! Deny the enemy of all his power by choosing to believe God! God is in you.
You are stronger than you know, you are smarter than you think, you are braver than you realize!
It is not your strength that empowers you! It is the power of God working inside of you! Stand up. Step out. Move forward. You got this!
