Scripture tells us to pray for the cities and states where we live and to also pray for those in authority over us. Right now our governors need prayer as they make hard decisions and difficult choices. This is a prayer decree for your state governor. Please pray these words out loud.
Seek the prosperity of the city to which I have sent you… Pray to the LORD on its behalf, for if it prospers, you too will prosper.’ Jeremiah 29:7
Heavenly Father, we thank you for governor Tate Reeves (insert your governor‘s name here), governor of the great State of Mississippi (insert your state name here). We praise you, Father, for giving them supernatural wisdom and divine insight and for enlarging their ability to manage the coronavirus as they open our states for business again. Lord thank you for surrounding them with the peace that passes all understanding. Thank you, Father, for giving them rest in their decisions. Thank you for giving them righteous counselors. Thank you for surrounding them with people who empower them to make decisions that are in the best interest of each state and all of its citizens.
Where there is no counsel, the people fall; But in the multitude of counselors, there is safety. Proverbs 11:14
Deceit is in the heart of those who devise evil, But counselors of peace have joy. Proverbs 12:20
Without counsel, plans go awry, But in the multitude of counselors, they are established. Proverbs 15:22
For by wise counsel you will wage your own war, And in a multitude of counselors, there is safety. Proverbs 24:6
We thank you, Lord, for sharpening their ear and allowing them to hear your voice. Holy Spirit we thank you for speaking into their ear and saying this is the path, this is the way, this is the direction, this is the strategy, this is the plan. Thank you for revealing each of these things to them. We thank you, Lord, that by your spirit they will know what to do! We thank you, father, that by your spirit they will know when to do it. We thank you, father, that by your spirit they will know who to include in each decision. And how their efforts are to be applied.
Isaiah 30:21 Your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, “This is the way, walk in it,” Whenever you turn to the right hand, Or whenever you turn to the left.
Even as we pray for our Governors, we also pray for those families that have lost loved ones because of this virus. Still, we will not fear! They will make informed decisions based on accurate information. We take authority over any spirits that would come to manipulate data and skew numbers creating fear-based information and indicating a level of danger that does not exist and is not rooted in truth. We take authority over a spirit of deception that formulates false information and gives a false perception. Thank you Lord, for exposing that which is false and for bringing the truth into full LIGHT so all can see it.
We thank you that by your Spirit our governors separate facts and data from truth. Thank you for empowering them by your spirit to see the long-term results of every decision. We thank you, father, for doing only you can do. Father, we pray in Jesus’ name that you empower us to make up for lost revenue across the state quickly. That’s what it took us 60 days to lose, we decree that we can recover in 60 days or less time in Jesus’ name.
We pray for small businesses across our states and we decree that they shall live and not die. WE say, their recovery will be a testimony to the goodness and grace of God. Thank you for giving them wisdom, divine ideas, strategic plans, for helping them create innovative solutions that enable them to take little resources and stretch them supernaturally to meet needs, help them protect their business assets, allow them to grow in a time of crisis, and even expand in this time.
I shall notdie, but live, And declare the works of the LORD. Psa 118:17
Lord, we bless our governors! We bless those who work with them! We thank you for pouring out your Spirit upon them all. Thank you for giving them encounters with your holy presence in the night season. Thank you for sealing up instructions for them in their dreams. Thank you for allowing them to hear your voice. We praise you, Lord, for blessing our states and for enabling us to recover quickly and to recover all! Allow us to be a testimony to the rest of America and the rest of the world. In Jesus’ name, we decree it so! Amen!
