The fierce loyalty of God
God is fiercely loyal! It is not his nature to set you on a course, put you out front against great host of enemies and then walk away and leave you! He has promised in his word numerous times that he will never leave us! He will never for sake us! He will never walk away from us in the midst of a battle!
God says that he is with those who favor his righteous cause! It is a righteous cause to stand and defend innocent unborn babies. It is a righteous course to defend a nation that has served to spread the gospel around the world! It is a righteous cause to hold up the banner of truth against immorality, lawlessness, anger and hatred! It is a righteous cause!
God is with those who favor his cause. It is our responsibility to trust him! To decree his promises regardless of what we see. We will decree his promises and say what he has said! We can trust him! Because it is not his nature to leave you defenseless! It is not his character to walk away from you in the midst of the battle! It is not his nature to abandon those who are bold enough to stand for the things God cares about! So trust in the fierce loyalty of God!
So hold fast! Be strong! Be courageous! Because God has an agenda to release a wave of his glory across this globe before the eminent return of his son! So lean into the fierce loyalty of God!
Jonathan and his armor bearer scaled the mountain side and took out Philistine troops. Jonathan realized even as he said, “who is to say that God can deliver by many or few!” God loves a few people full of faith! And he will deliver! He will manifest himself! And he will show himself strong on the behalf of those who are courageous enough to believe in him! We will trust in the Lord and believe his loyalty towards us!
Deuteronomy 31:6, 8
“Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the LORD your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you.”
7 Then Moses called Joshua and said to him in the sight of all Israel, “Be strong and of good courage, for you must go with this people to the land which the LORD has sworn to their fathers to give them, and you shall cause them to inherit it.
8 “And the LORD, He is the One who goes before you. He will be with you, He will not leave you nor forsake you; do not fear nor be dismayed.”
Hebrews 13:5-6
Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”fn
6 So we may boldly say: “The LORD is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?”
Psalms 118:5-8
5 I called on the LORD in distress; The LORD answered me and set me in a broad place.
6 The LORD is on my side; I will not fear. What can man do to me?
7 The LORD is for me among those who help me; Therefore I shall see my desire on those who hate me.
8 It is better to trust in the LORD Than to put confidence in man.
