Return
We have always known the scripture where Daniel said that in the last days knowledge would increase. And we realize it applies to what’s happening in the earth realm. But what many people don’t understand is that knowledge is also enlarging and increasing in the kingdom realm. Where does that knowledge come from? How do we get access to it? We can through the return.
What do I mean? Let me explain. We used to think that the full meaning of repentance was feeling contrite or sad about the sin or the act or the wrong a person had committed. We thought that repentance was to go to the altar, to weep and cry and to feel sorry about what they’ve done. And I’m not saying that there isn’t a degree & element of truth to that.
But the actual word repentance in Hebrew is Teshuva , means to return. It means to go back to a place where you have been. That doesn’t mean going back in this natural life, it implies that we all began in God. In him we live and move and have our being. There are thoughts systems mindsets and attitudes that caused us to leave the way of thinking that we were created in. So real repentance means to change the way you think after being with the God who created you. It means go back to that God who loves you.
It gets better. In addition to return, in the Greek, repentance is metanoia meaning a change of mind, as it appears to one who repents, of a purpose he has formed or of something he has done. It is being with the one who loves us that inspires us to change any thought system that puts a barrier or wall between us. It is returning to the ONE who loves. It is returning to a divine unity with the ONE. Jesus said in John10:30 “I and My Father are ONE.”
God is so relational. He loves us and wants to be in fellowship with us. He despises anything that prevents our access to him. And that is why he encourages us to change the way we think. To come into a new reality, new insight new thinking that is in alignment with how you were created by Him. We existed with God. He just wants us back. He wants us to return to him. That is true repentance.

Act 17:28
“for in Him we live and move and have our being, as also some of your own poets have said, ‘For we are also His offspring.’
