WHAT WILL YOU CALL IT?!
In Genesis chapter 1 we see a model of how God operates. God looks at a circumstance or situation and decided what he wants it to BE and that’s what he calls it.
Genesis 1:3-5 God spoke: “Light!”
And light appeared.
God saw that light was good
and separated light from dark.
God named the light Day,
he named the dark Night.
It was evening, it was morning—
Day One. (Message)
He wanted the earth to reflect his own nature so he said Light BE.
He called it what he wanted. When it was time for Adam to participate in the process of naming THINGS, God trained him to do the same thing. He brought animals to Adam and told Adam to name it or call it what you want it to be.
Genesis 2:18-20 God said, “It’s not good for the Man to be alone; I’ll make him a helper, a companion.” So God formed from the dirt of the ground all the animals of the field and all the birds of the air. He brought them to the Man to see what he would name them. Whatever the Man called each living creature, that was its name. (Message)
Then in Hebrews 11, The apostle restates the process God used by declaring that the WORLD was FRAMED or constructed by the word of God. Whatever God wanted He used WORDS to build it.
Hebrews 11:3 By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible. (NKJV)
This is a powerful statement because as BELIEVING BELIEVERS, we are also a creative force in the earth. We are charged with the responsibility of creating and removing any state, circumstance, or situation that is inconsistent with what exist in heaven. We are SUPPOSED TO CALL THINGS — WHAT WE WANT THEM TO BE— NOT WHAT THEY ARE! God did not say, “darkness go away or I sure don’t like all this darkness!”
Now what does this mean to you and I? Every day things are presented to us. A sports injury, a lost job, a medical emergency, a new business opportunity, etc. As God walks each of these things before us, we have to frame it. We get to decide what form, shape and nature it will take. We define whether it will fail or succeed. We are God’s agents in the earth!
So WHAT WILL YOU CALL IT? Lets say, you hurt your knee running, what will you call it? Will you say, “Oh man, my knee is busted, now I ‘m not gonna be able to run for months!” REMEMBER IT BECOMES WHAT YOU CALL IT!
Or will you say, “Thank you Lord that Healing is the children’s bread, I receive your healing right now. Knee, you are healed.” When you go to the doctor and they take a look and say “Oh this looks bad! This is gonna take months to heal!”
Will you simply agree and let the doctor EXERCISE YOUR CREATIVE AUTHORITY OVER YOUR KNEE? WILL YOU JUST AGREE WITH THAT REPORT IN OPPOSITION TO GOD’S REPORT?
BELIEVING BELIEVERS, WILL ONLY AGREE WITH WHAT GOD SAYS. THAT IS WHAT MAKES YOU A BELIEVING BELIEVER! Whoever you align your belief with becomes your partner in creating WHATEVER YOU CALL IT!
Otherwise, you are a BELIEVER trapped in a culture of unbelief. There you will live in partnership with God’s enemy, satan. Until you decide whose report you will believe.
So WHAT WILL YOU CALL IT?
