Several years ago one of my mentors challenge to me to ask for what I want. Most of the time when opportunities come our way, we don’t spend enough time being clear about what we really desire. And if you’re not clear, the new more than likely won’t ask for the full measure of what you deserve.
God does not limit us. Most of the time the limitations we encounter are the ones we placed on ourselves. Sometimes we may feel as if we don’t deserve the best. We may feel unworthy of possessing would others take for granted. That is not how God sees his children. He desires that we all have his highest and best.
When you see the accounts of Solomon‘s temple, you see that everything it was lavish and extravagant. More than most could ever dream. And yet it was with the father desired his children to have.
So be willing to ask for what you want. A beautiful example of this principle in action is found in Judges chapter 1:14-17 where the daughter of Caleb was willing to ask her father for what she wanted. She might not of been a son, but she had a request. She asked. She received.
Ask for what you want.
