The Fight belongs to God
Whenever you sense that God is moving you to another level, there will often be greater attacks against you. Just accept that. It is par for the course. There is no reason to whine, cry, feel sorry for yourself or to throw pity parties. Why, because no battle belongs to you. The fight belongs to God. But you do have to show up for the fight.
These are the moments where you have to suck it up toughen up and start acting like the warrior that you are. I am learning to welcome the fights I go through. I am learning that battles make you stronger and the more you fight, the better you get at it. Besides we are never alone in the fight. Realize that you have greater angelic support to go along with your new assignment. And remember, the fight belongs to God. God is right there with us.
Sometimes, I see God as that parent who tells his small child to pick up the biggest stick they can find to fight back against the bully because they know the bully will run when they see the stick. Bullies are cowards. The devil is a bully. We must master picking up our stick (sword of the WORD). Take the WORD of GOD and Put that 2 edged sword in your mouth and go to battle!!! In fact, when you see the opposition backing up as you approach (with stick in hand) it makes you want to run them off.
Make the Word in your mouth BIG. Make bold decrees. Make BOLD statements of faith in God. Brag on what the Father has done in the past and let the devil know the beating he is about to get for messing with a child of the most high. That’s what David did!
1 Samuel 17:45-47 Then David said to the Philistine, “You come to me with a sword, with a spear, and with a javelin. But I come to you in the name of the LORD of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied. 46 This day the LORD will deliver you into my hand, and I will strike you and take your head from you. And this day I will give the carcasses of the camp of the Philistines to the birds of the air and the wild beasts of the earth, that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel. 47 Then all this assembly shall know that the LORD does not save with sword and spear; for the battle is the LORD’s, and He will give you into our hands.” NKJV
So when the enemy comes, get excited. Pick up your stick.
You are stronger than you know. Battles are God’s way of teaching you just how strong you are.
