“Stop picking on your brother!”
Any parent of more than two children can tell you the challenge it is to stop kids from annoying each other intentionally. I guess that’s just part of the process of being a sibling. The Bible says, when I was a child I thought like a child and I behaved like a child. But when I became an adult, I put away childish things.
It’s one thing to annoy someone unintentionally. But it’s quite another to purposefully provoke And pick on those around you just to create a sense of annoyance in the heart of another person.
Don’t do that. In the long term, that behavior ignites a rejecting heart. That’s an attitude where people don’t want to be around you. They reject you in their heart.
Love inspires acceptance. It’s strives to be helpful. It longs to be useful. Love is easy to be around.
