Pursue the Promises

The promises of God are YES and AMEN. What has God said yes to you concerning? What yeses has he given you that you have not possessed yet? Where has he said YES and allowed you to have something; yet, you have not been hungry enough to go after it like David going after his wife and children? The only way you can overtake the enemy and recover all of the promises God has given you is you have to first pursue!

There are things God wants us to have but we have to be hungry enough to go after them. We must be passionate enough to pursue the promises of God. There is an element of desperation in the pursuit of the promises of God. Do you want it bad enough?! In recent days this question has haunted me. How bad do you really want the promises of God?

Your assignment today is to take out the promises God has made you in the past and review them! Read the promises out loud again! Remind God of what he has said. Put him in remembrance of his promises.

2 Corinthians 1:20 (KJV)

For all the promises of God in him [are] yes, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.

Romans 9:4 (KJV)

Who are Israelites; to whom [pertaineth] the adoption, and the glory, and the covenants, and the giving of the law, and the service [of God], and the promises;

Romans 15:8 (KJV)

Now I say that Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision for the truth of God, to confirm the promises [made] unto the fathers:

2 Corinthians 7:1 (KJV)

Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.
